This is going to be a fairly huge TGS.
Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo have potentially the biggest holiday shopping seasons this year.
Halo: ODST, Uncharted 2, CoD: Modern Warfare 2, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Gran Tursimo PSP, LittleBigPlanet PSP, Forza Motorsport 3, The Beatles Rock Band, Guitar Hero 5, etc.
PS3 Slim, PSP Go, the Elite 360 price drop to $299.
There are also the "almost absolutely confirmed" Gran Tursimo 5 for PS3 this November or December worldwide.
So this TGS plays a huge role in kicking off this monumentous season. Yesterday I posted Square-Enix's line-up. Amazing this there for sure. Sega has also released their list for TGS.
Bayonetta (PS3/360)
Chin Sports (Wii)
House of the Dead: Overkill (Wii)
J-League Pro Soccer Club Tsukurou! 6: Pride of J (PSP)
Phantasy Star Portable 2 (PSP)
Puyo Puyo 7 (DS)
Puyo Puyo 7 (PSP/Wii)
Resonance of Fate (PS3/360)
Valkyria Chronicles 2 (PSP)
Yakuza 4 (PS3)
So a very diverse set of multiplatform games and exclusives. Very happy that Sega decided to make a sequel to Valkyria Chronicles. For the people upset that the game didn't get the sequel for the PS3....well that's just tough luck. The PSP has more than double the install base than the PS3 and has proven to support RPG's better than the PS3. Of course there is a real lack of RPG content on the PS3.
Anyway. All three companies will have an absolutely grand season despite what happens at TGS, but that doesn't mean they can't make it even bigger.
I'm positive that if Sony confirms GT5 for this holiday season they will see an even bigger sells season.
Likewise if more information about Halo Reach comes out of the Microsoft camp they could help boost ODST numbers (it comes packed with a Halo Reach beta).
Anyway, that's it for now.
